BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP
Hollowroot Studios exists because some stories can only be told through survival. One developer. One vision. Games that don't hold your hand, don't explain themselves, and don't apologize for being hard. The world doesn't wait for you to be ready. Neither do we.
FIFTEEN YEARS IN THE MAKING
Hollowroot Studios didn't start with a business plan. It started with an idea that finally refused to stay quiet.
For fifteen years, building video games was something Cameron wanted to do — and never did. Then Verdant Scourge happened. The world, the lore, the systems — it all came together at once and wouldn't let go. So instead of waiting any longer, he started building. Teaching himself to write code. Learning 3D modeling. Wrestling with a game engine until it did exactly what the vision required.
One year in, Hollowroot Studios is real. The game is being built. And there's no going back.
NO SHORTCUTS. NO COMPROMISE.
Every system in a Hollowroot game exists for a reason. If something isn't working the way it should, it doesn't ship until it does. That's not perfectionism — that's respect for the player.
We build games for people who want to be challenged, immersed, and surprised. Games that reward patience and punish carelessness. Games that feel alive because every detail was fought for.
THE PEople BEHIND THE STUDIO
Cameron is a lifelong gamer — MMOs, co-op RPGs, single player RPGs, survival crafting games. If it has depth, systems, and a world worth getting lost in, he has played it.
That background isn't just personal history. It's the foundation every Hollowroot game is built on. The games I make are the games we have always wanted to play — and couldn't find anywhere else.
The goal isn't just to ship games. It's to build something that lasts. Games that communities talk about for decades. Games that earn their place in the conversation alongside the best the industry has ever produced.
